Yet another but the fastest android emulator

Thursday, February 21, 2013

The main complaints about the Android emulator is their slowness. As the Android emulator uses the Atom based system image it operates slow in the PCs and traditional workstations. But finally their is a light in the tunnel and here it come BlueStack.
It is really an impressive and fast Emulator that all developers dreamed.

Installation Steps:

  • Download and install the BlueStack emulator from the BlueStack official page. Dont be panic.. Its absolutely free!!!
  • After installing run the BlueStack emulator. It will take some time on the basis of your pc configuration to start up.
  • After start up it will show a list of installed and available android applications.

Run the Android Applications:

  • Create or open an android application using the ADT/Eclipse IDE
  • Run the Android Application from Run As -> Android Application.
  • An prompt for Android Device Choser will be shown to select the ADV from the available list. Select the BlueStack ADV from the list and Select OK.
  • The Application will be loaded in the BlueStack Emulator and will be shown.
  • To re-run the application, you can simply navigate to the MyApps menu button and relaunch the application.

Thats it!!! It is straight forward and simple. Happy coding...

  1. What Android API does it use? Eclipse doesn't recognize it

  2. Wow, cool post. I’d like to write like this too – taking time and real hard work to make a great article… but I put things off too much and never seem to get started. Thanks though. visualizar
